The American Revolution: Spirit Of Service
(35 min) 2025
Opens Jan 31

Join Red River Theatres, the New Hampshire Historical Society, and New Hampshire PBS for a special screening of Spirit of Service, an excerpt from THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. This selection of clips explores the enduring ideal of service in American life, and how the most diverse population of the 18th century came together and did their part to form a nation.

Following the screening, guests are invited to stay to learn 10 things you probably didn’t know about New Hampshire’s role in the American Revolution with Mary Adams from the New Hampshire Historical Society, followed by a brief, moderated discussion. This event offers an opportunity to connect national events with our own history right here in the Granite State.

Red River Theatres currently does not require guests to wear masks but we strongly recommend them while visiting the theater. Masks will be available at the entrance for anyone that wants one. We ask that guests who are experiencing any symptoms such as a cough, fever/chills, sore throat etc. stay home.

We will continue to use feedback from our staff and guests, guidelines from national, state and local health authorities and our peers in the independent cinema industry to help us navigate changing conditions. Our main goal continues to be the comfort and safety of staff and guests.
