A variety of options are explored—forgive, stay and fight, leave—as they stand up to their oppressors and try to reconcile their faith with what has occurred. This gripping, fact-based drama, adapted from a book by Miriam Toews, benefits immensely from stellar ensemble acting by Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Frances McDormand, et al.
