Three Thousand Years of Longing

While in Istanbul, a solitude-minded professor of literature (Tinda Swinton) innocently releases a djinn (Idris Elba) from a glass vessel—who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. Initially she is more interested in hearing his magical, adventurous storytelling than the prospect of fulfilled wishes, but a peculiar relationship is developing. A very colorful romantic fantasy from writer/director George Miller (MAD MAX: FURY ROAD / HAPPY FEET), presided over by two charismatic actors.
