Chicago, mid 1950s. British master “cutter” Leonard Burling (Mark Rylance), who migrated to America after WWII, has acquired a unique clientele for his finely crafted suits: gangsters. But currently his tailor shop has become a mob “drop spot,” is under FBI surveillance as turf warfare between rival factions is heating up. Will he survive the machinations that are unfolding? The always reliable Rylance and Zoey Deutch (as Burling’s danger-loving assistant) stand out in a superb cast which makes this refreshingly original crime thriller quite special.
