Philippa Langley (Sally Hawkins) is a timid office worker who, after much research and investigation, believes she has located the burial site of King Richard III. When others hasten to claim credit for the discovery, Langley not only takes on elite historians for recognition, she also campaigns to have the King’s much-maligned reputation revised. Some liberties (and fantastical touches) exist in this captivating, real life underdog tale, definitely presented from Langley’s point of view. Hawkins is terrific as a woman who finds the strength to stand up for herself and her quest.
