The Lady Vanishes
1938, 96 min, NR

HITCHCOCK....AND TRAINS
During the month of September, Red River will present three truly classic films by Alfred Hitchcock, the “Master of Suspense.”
The series, called HITCHCOCK….AND TRAINS, demonstrates how he incorporated into films a method of public transportation which supplied the confining spaces where diabolical plots could be hatched or forwarded.
The plots contain fascinating characters (like Roger Thornhill, Bruno Anthony and Miss Froy) which are performed by top drawer actors (Cary Grant, Robert Walker and Dame May Whitty).
Amazingly, the entertainment value of these movies hasn’t diminished a bit with age and are always impressive on a big theater screen.
Note schedule below. Performances (on Wednesday evenings) will begin at 6:00. A Q&A with special guests will follow each film.
