Wealthy Julio Blanco (Javier Bardem) is a manufacturer of industrial scales who loves public recognition and wants to win a prestigious award for very friendly workplace conditions. He has his hands full, however, with a diverse array of characters and situations which may prevent him from securing that acclaim. A chaotic and decidedly dark natured Spanish satire–with Bardem perfectly cast as a manipulative, self-serving employer whose smiling face conceals a different personality.
