In 1930s Czechoslovakia, newlyweds Viktor and Liesel Landauer (Claes Bang and Hanna Alstrom) are filled with optimism and happiness in their new (and very luxurious) home.  But all too soon, extramarital temptations erupt.  As Liesel turns to her lifelong friend Hana (Clarice Van Houten) for the passion lacking in her marriage, threatening Nazi troops enter the country.  A handsomely mounted adaptation of Simon Mawer’s novel THE GLASS ROOM supplies an engrossing love story peppered with tragedy and forbidden alliances.
