In New York City (circa early 1980’s), a canine–simply named Dog–is living a very lonely life until he assembles a Robot from a mail order kit. Dog and Robot instantly become inseparable companions, sharing pleasant experiences, until a beach trip changes everything. This colorful, heartwarming, animated (hand drawn) storytelling unfolds without dialog and humans. Roller skating and dancing sequences are joyous highlights in a tale about the rewards and demands of a meaningful friendship.
