Join Red River Theatres for a special screening of The Lightworkers, followed by a timely conversation with former Congresswoman Annie Kuster and Congressman Jamie Raskin.
Featured in the documentary, Kuster and Raskin were both first hand witnesses to the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol and have remained leading voices in the fight to protect and preserve American democracy.
The Lightworkers brings together 37 people from diverse backgrounds to confront one urgent question: What can each of us do to help safeguard our democracy? Through personal reflections on activism, courage, empathy, and joy, the film explores how ordinary people can become positive forces in their communities and their country.
Following the screening, Kuster and Raskin will discuss their experiences, the challenges facing our democracy, and how individuals can use their voices and take meaningful action.
