Italy, early 1980s. Newly released from prison, an English archaeologist (Josh O’Connor) with an amazing gift for locating Etruscan artifacts buried with the dead, rejoins a ragtag band of tomb raiders, hoping for a valuable discovery that will make them all rich. He is, however, frequently distracted by radiant memories of a woman whom he loved and would somehow like to reconnect with. Surprises and intrigue abound in storytelling magic occurring in a dreamy atmosphere which makes you feel spellbound. La chimera: A wish that is impossible to achieve.
