Granite Orpheus
Presented by: Resurrection Films
Where myth meets mystery: the tragic tale of star-crossed lovers Orpheus and Eurydice is retold on (and below) the kind streets of Concord, NH in Granite Orpheus. The film was born more than a decade ago when the producers challenged some talented friends to make a feature-length movie in a single weekend. Most of Granite Orpheus was filmed in downtown Concord during Market Days 2015, but the project disintegrated while attempting to schedule one final, essential scene. That scene was finally shot at Red River Theatres last June, ten years after initial filming, with the help of about 40 volunteers who came to serve as extras.
There will be a post-film discussion with the filmmakers and members of the cast.
This screening is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served.
