Brazil, 2027.  A deeply religious notary (Dira Paes) plays marriage counselor to couples seeking divorce, determined to thwart the proceeding.  Her own marital life is stuck in a holding pattern, frustrated by the inability to conceive a child.  It’s not for lack of trying—as she and her husband (Julio Machado) are notably involved with a secretive church group called Divine Love.  This provocative, unconventional sci-fi drama is scarily prophetic in its dissection of love, religion and the pursuit of fulfillment in the 21st century.
